The Christmas countdown is on. With just a few shorts weeks away from the big day, we are excited to share a little holiday cheer from this pre-Christmas closing. Between the old-world details, warm contrasting trim, and the classic, English-inspired green accents, you can hardly tell this is new construction. Our goal is to constantly bring charm and thoughtful design into our newly-built homes and we definitely feel like we nailed it with this one.

The Kitchen

It’s a country Christmas in this English farmhouse kitchen! Between the timing of this house closing and the beautiful Card Room Green cabinets, we knew this was the location of our 2021 holiday shoot. Some of our favorite moments of this kitchen are the hood vent ledge—perfect for art or holiday garland—and the freestanding kitchen island. These details are what make a kitchen so special and custom to homeowners. Oh and those tiny little cookie hands definitely made this shoot.

The Pantry

Rows of open shelving give this pantry all the organization it could need. We “cost-effectively” added character with beadboard sheets and locally-found shelving brackets. We love using baskets, canisters and crocks—both new and old—to keep things tidy. By grouping similar items together, such as glassware, ceramics, copper cookware and books, this charming room is the perfect example of  a working pantry.

The Lockers

The mudroom is located right off the kitchen, so we pulled the kitchen color into this space. We’re always bummed when our clients want to use color—NOT! We welcome color these days. Our favorite moment of this space are the doors. This ventilated detail is not only pretty but practical!

The Primary Suite

We love all the layers of green going on in this moody primary suite. By keeping a cohesive color palette, we played up the textures of wood, tile, beadboard, metal and terracotta.
