One step inside this charm-filled, custom home feels like a trip to the South of France. With rustic, 100-year-old barn wood, shiny, brass details and elegant porcelain surfaces, this home is one you won’t want to miss. Bienvenue!

The Kitchen

Something about this kitchen just makes us want to bake fresh baguettes and assemble a tray full of artisan cheeses. It’s simple in color but beaming with just the rigt pops of design. Whether the menu calls for casual after school snacks, a cozy family dinner or a fancy holiday get-together, this space is sure to leave a lasting impression on friends and family alike with it’s character and attention to detail. Our team’s favorite touches include the polished porcelain tops, the French range, the unlacquered brass plumbing fixtures that will age with grace and the rustic, architectural beams.

Vintage Rug: The Found Mercantile

The Pantry

Through the most beautiful, white oak, arched door, this dreamy pantry is stocked full of French flair. We mimicked the arch of the doorway in the base of our shelving design with corbels and added a vertical shiplap backing for an extra layer of texture. Our team spent hours perusing the booths at a local antique mall for the perfect assortment of vintage baskets and ceramic crocks for this shoot. We finished the shelves with our favorite glasses, cookbooks, cutting boards and white dishes.

The Living Room

With this living room being open to the second floor, we wanted to highlight the height of the space as much as possible. The stone fireplace extends all the way up to the ceiling, drawing your eye to yet another set of gorgeous barn wood beams. An ornate yet dainty chandelier adds a little drama, while a stone cast mantle below anchors the room and brings the design back down to earth. Plus we love that it’s white to match the giant windows that overlook the homeowner’s pool and beautiful wooded lot.

The Bathrooms

In the hall bath, we played up the coziness factor with green painted beadboard and warm brass lighting to match the European country aesthetic of the top two floors. In the basement, the style leans more casual, “hangout” vibes with a Euro coastal design.  The pool bath off the basement slider includes blue and white penny tile laid in a custom striped pattern finished wit polish chrome accents.

The Mudroom

Instead of doing your typically built-in lockers, we opted for this antique, primitive, pine bench. Placed underneath painted wood pegs, it’s the perfect place to take a quick seat and lace up your shoes or pack a book bag. The neutral taupey-green paint color allows this space to be decorated for any season—even Halloween.
